Abstract
This history of the Borough of Banbury is the first full history of the town to be published for over one hundred years. Alfred Beesley published his history in 1841 but many sources of information were closed to him at that time. William Potts decided to bring the history up-to-date and also add the information which Beesley could not obtain. The result is a fascinating account of Banbury from the time of the Romans to the present day [1958].
This second edition has been revised and expanded by Edward Thomas Clark, a successor of Potts' as Editor at the Banbury Guardian.
