Abstract

This volume contains a selection from the annual reports in the University Archives, which were presented between the years 946 and 1969 by Dr. W.A. Pantin, at that time Keeper of the University Archives. They discuss a number of historical and constitutional subjects relating to the university, covering every period from the 13th century to the present day. The aim has been to show how these subjects, which are of considerable topical and controversial interest, can be illustrated from the University Archives, and can be made to throw light on the present-day problems of university life and organisation.
