Abstract
The book contains the results of 4 years of research into the experiences of over 700 men and women from one small parish in Oxfordshire who were involved in war. It contains their names, details of military or civilian service and a wealth of photographs together with numerous stories from Waterloo to Afghanistan today. In the course of the research the names of a further 25 men from the parish who died for their country were discovered over and above those named on the present day War Memorial. A new War Memorial now records these names.
