Abstract
This publication documents many of the buildings in Souldern, as well as many aspects of village life, illustrated with photographs and archival material. The idea for the book originated from Melissa Barnett, the curator of Banbury Museum, when she attended an exhibition of old photographs and archival materal which was held in Souldern Village Hall on 20 May 1989. Entitled 'Souldern in Pictures', the display was in aid of village funds and created a great deal of interest in Souldern history. The material was lent by villagers past and present but some items were borrowed from other archives.
